Dangerous Goods (DG)

Dangerous Goods (DG) are substances or items that pose a potential risk to people, property, or the environment during transport. To ensure safety, these goods are subject to strict international regulations regarding classification, packaging, labeling, and handling. Therefore, we ensure full compliance with these rules by following international standards and investing in continuous training.

Classes of Dangerous Goods

Dangerous Goods are classified into nine main classes according to the UN Model Regulations:

  1. Explosives
  2. Gases (flammable, non-flammable, toxic)
  3. Flammable liquids
  4. Flammable solids
  5. Oxidizing substances and organic peroxides
  6. Toxic and infectious substances
  7. Radioactive material
  8. Corrosives
  9. Miscellaneous dangerous substances and articles

For details on accepted Dangerous Goods, see our downloadable Handling Protocol below.

Warehouse delivery checklist

To ensure safe, compliant, and efficient handling, the following requirements must be met when delivering DG to our warehouse:

  • Provide a Safety Data Sheet (SDS)

  • Ensure packaging is clearly visible, undamaged, and compliant with international standards (e.g., UN/ADR)

  • Pack Dangerous Goods separately from non-DG products

  • Clearly label all Dangerous Goods shipments

  • List hazardous substances in the shipping document

  • Check whether goods contain lithium batteries

  • Notify the warehouse in advance of the delivery
