China Export Compliance – Vendor Responsibility Reminder
Following the regulatory changes implemented on 1 October 2025, we are seeing increased enforcement by Chinese Customs, regarding documentation accuracy and brand-related compliance. Recent operational experience confirms that non-compliance at vendor level is increasingly resulting in shipment delays and disruption.
Please find a one-page advisory outlining key compliance requirements for export shipments from China.
We kindly request that you review the attached advisory and ensure that your vendors in China are fully aligned with the outlined requirements, particularly with respect to export documentation and brand authorization.
For branded items, suppliers can verify whether a brand is registered with Chinese Customs via the following system: http://202.127.48.145:8888/zscq/search/jsp/vBrandSearchIndex.jsp
By entering the brand name, suppliers can identify whether it is registered and under which company or individual, allowing them to assess whether export authorization from the brand owner is required.
